Provided thought leadership and project management services for the New York City Department of Education, which is implementing a pilot Educational Technology Program (ETP) in 65 schools. The ETP is an NYCDOE system-wide initiative to support teaching and learning with instructional leadership, technology support, and digital collaboration. The primary goal of this work is to help principals achieve their Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) goals by leveraging technology to achieve the ISTE standards for students, teachers, and education leaders, increase efficiency, and improve student outcomes in areas including but not limited to reading, writing, and math. Each school will have the flexibility to develop goals and select Ed Tech to meet the unique needs of their students and faculty, while building on current NYCDOE best practices and evidence-based research on effective EdTech programs, studies, and resources. Improve is helping to align school-level planning and implementation work with the newly developed vision and ETP strategy and ISTE standards while supporting a consistent standard of excellence. Project deliverables include assistance defining the vision, goals and strategies of the ETP, assistance developing professional learning for pilot schools, and developing deliverables including an ETP Playbook, project plan, research plan, communication and change management plan, a readiness inventory checklist and dashboard, and data collection instruments.
